The Altamaha River Partnership is a coalition of state, regional, and local representatives formed in 1998 to promote nature-based tourism and associated economic development opportunities within the 11 counties bordering the Altamaha River. Altamaha River Partnership, Inc. received the certificate of incorporation October 13, 2011 from the GA Secretary of State Brian Kemp.
Counties along the river include Appling, Glynn, Jeff Davis, Long, McIntosh, Montgomery, Tattnall, Telfair, Toombs, Wayne, and Wheeler and cities of Alamo, Baxley, Brunswick, Darien, Hazelhurst, Jesup, Ludowici, Mount Vernon, Reidsville, Lyons and Vidalia.
